So yeah it's a pretty good routine. So what should you eat for breakfast? Well, food is a good place to start. But don't just stuff your face with the contents of your cupboard. You want a combination of protein and carbohydrates. Protein will keep you full and carbs will give you quick energy for your morning. So you choose what floats your boat. I prefer eggs and miscellaneous additions dependent on my cravings.
Eggs are pretty damn awesome. They contain riboflavin, B12, and act as an appetite suppressant. So obviously you should eat eggs. Now the question is: how? The beauty of eggs is there are practically a million ways to prepare them. Sunny side, over easy, over medium, scrambled, poached, deviled, soft boiled, hard boiled, egg white omelet, normal omelet, baked egg and more. Odds you don't know how to make most of these and can't even tell me which is your favorite. My suggestion try them all. Find your favorites and rotate so you always enjoy the spice of life.
My preference is Sunny Side Up. I like the taste, the consistency, and and the method. And also it fills me with an odd sense off accomplishment because my mom could never successfully make a sunny side egg. This one I taught her!!! It's really easy.
- Thoroughly butter your pan.
- Get that pan freaking hot!!
- Crack your egg into the pan.
- Cover it and remove it from the heat.
- Technique varies here depending on your utensils. If your pan retains heat well it'll take about a minute and a half, off heat and covered. If it doesn't put it on a low heat for about two minutes.
Wit: Delicious with egg is toast or ham. They complement and soak up excess yolk.
Also Wit: Get adventurous if you have time. Add onion, add tomato, add mushroom. Cook some potatoes too.
Also Also Wit: This is really great to half ass cook. While it's cooking you can be gathering your school work, applying mascara, get dressed. It doesn't require your undivided attention.
Also Also Also Wit: So delicious.
Over Medium Eggs
This is just one extra step after Sunny side up.
Once your at whites are thoroughly cooked (if it's not your yolk will break) flip it over and cook for another minute.
So easy!
To Be Continued...DUN..DUN..DUUNN!
